Overall work efficiency of a new employee greatly depends on how quickly he/she will be able to establish working relations and join the staff team of other various departments, showing the best of his/her professional skills and personal qualities.
The group of TELS companies has an intensive program of new employees' adaptation. From the very first day of their work new employees get acquainted with that program. The adaptation procedure includes welcoming greeting and handing over to a new member of the staff a package of documents, which consists of different brochures, like "An instruction booklet for a new employee", "In-house standards", "Internal code of conduct", "Training program", and some others.
HR department provides a compulsory four-hour introduction into the company procedure, when a new employee receives information about company's mission and structure, personnel policy, internal code of conduct, in-house standards and corporate culture. There is such a practice at the company as to introduce a new employee to all members of the staff. A short essay, that's "about myself" story, with pictures of our new employees are placed on our informational website. Besides every new employee has a supervisor in the department, who is an experienced member of the staff, aware of all working peculiarities in the company, and who is responsible for a newcomer, his/her efficient work, adaptation and successful joining the team.
Doing his/ her second and third month of a probation period a new employee is interviewed only once a month. In case a newcomer cannot cope with his duties successfully for some reasons or does not feel comfortable in the company's environment he/ she has an additional orientation interview. A newcomer is explained what is considered to be unsatisfactory in his/ her work, which weak points he/ she has and how to improve his work in the company.
