It is a semi-trailer equipped with a heat-insulating system and a refrigerating unit. It is used to deliver either preliminary frozen or cooled perishable food stuffs (like meat, fish, fruit, etc.) or food stuffs requiring heating. A semi-trailer fits for deliver of most perishable freights or goods with special storage conditions. The temperature inside the trailer can range from +300C to — 300C.

  • Internal payload volume of the body — from 82 m3 to 92 m3,
  • Internal width of the body — from 2.42 m to 2.45 m,
  • Internal height of the body — from 2.45 m to 2.7 m, Internal length — from 13.2 m to 13.5 m,
  • Payload — from 18000 kg to 22000 kg of cargo, Max capacity — 33 euro pallets.
 
Advantages:
  • maintenance of temperature conditions;
  • high safety of the cargo thanks to hard walls.
 
Disadvantages:
  • loading/ unloading only at the back header;
  • relatively high empty weight (in comparison to other types of semi trailers) — from 7000 kg to 8000 kg because of isothermal walls and a refrigerating unit, which reduces the payload.
